Thomas Horejes, Ph.D., CDI has a diverse work experience that spans various industries and roles. Thomas is currently the Director of Legal Compliance & Advocacy at Convo Communications, where they lead the Compliance Department and ensures the company's adherence to applicable laws and regulations.

Prior to their current role, Dr. Horejes served as the Director of Policy & Advocacy at TDI, where they were responsible for coordinating and organizing the drafting and filing of comments on accessible policy initiatives. Thomas worked closely with legal counsels, organizations, and staff to shape policies that promote accessibility for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Dr. Horejes also has experience in the academic sector, having served as the Associate Provost to the Chief Academic Officer/Provost at Gallaudet University. In this role, they directed the Office for Student Success & Academic Quality and implemented programs related to student success, career education, academic advising, and more.

Earlier in their career, Dr. Horejes held the position of Executive Director/Chief Executive Officer at DEAF, Inc., where they oversaw the operations of a non-profit communication and advocacy organization. Thomas also served as an Assistant Professor at Gallaudet University, teaching various courses and conducting research in the field of deaf education.

Additionally, Dr. Horejes has worked as a Disability Policy Analyst/Inclusion Services at the City of Phoenix, a Faculty Associate at Arizona State University, and a Community Advocate at the Greater Los Angeles Agency on Deafness, Inc. (GLAD). Thomas has collaborated with various agencies and organizations to provide advocacy and support for deaf and hard of hearing individuals.

Outside of their professional roles, Dr. Horejes has served on the Governing Board of the National Youth Leadership Council.
