Lauren Simmons

Lauren Simmons has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Lauren started their career as a Legal/Pr intern at Fierce Entertainment Management, LLC, where they created agreements for models and vendors and updated social media for Orlando International Fashion Week. Lauren then interned as a Fashion merchandise/business intern at Anastasia, where they provided assistance with visual displays, wholesale research, and social media updates. Lauren then worked as a Visual Merchandiser at Under Armour, where they processed marketing strategies and maintained brand standards. Lauren also worked as a Permit Coordinator at the Chicago Park District, coordinating special events permits. At Nike, Lauren worked as an Athlete in shipping and receiving. Their most recent position was at the Illinois Criminal Justice Information Authority, where they served as a Criminal Justice Specialist, managing a grant portfolio, analyzing data reports, and providing recommendations. Currently, Lauren is the Director of Community Engagement at the Cook County State's Attorney's Office.

Lauren Simmons obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in finance from the University of Missouri Trulaske College of Business from 2007 to 2011. In 2011, they participated in the Summer Yarch Program at the University of Illinois Chicago, focusing on Architecture and Engineering. Later, from 2018 to 2020, Lauren pursued a Master of Science degree in Marketing from DePaul University. Lauren also holds additional certifications, including the PR-Agency Ready Certificate from the PR Council and Principles of Banking from Central Bank.
