Amanda Galtress

Amanda Galtress has worked in various roles since 2001. From 2001 to 2006, they were a Licensed Pharmacy Technician at Longs Drugs. From 2006 to 2012, they were a Research Engineer II and Safety Director at GRT, Inc., where they were responsible for developing process designs, designing process equipment, performing gas phase experiments and report writing. Amanda also managed the design and construction of experimental setups and analytical instruments, and processed and oversaw high-level economic analyses. From 2012 to present, they have been working at Cool Planet, first as a Manager of Pilot Operations, where they were responsible for equipment and process design, experimental design, commissioning and troubleshooting of systems, and operator training. Amanda then moved into the role of Head of Site Operations, overseeing a 5,000 ton/yr agricultural product manufacturing plant, post-processing units, research labs and product storage. In this role, they designed and managed capital projects including process improvements and facility upgrades, and led a team of operators and technicians to produce on spec product, maintain equipment and fulfill orders.

Amanda Galtress obtained their Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara between 2002 and 2006.
