Greg Thurston

Greg Thurston has a strong background in the refrigeration and HVAC industry. Greg currently holds the position of VP/GM of Operations at CoolSys - Refrigeration and HVAC Systems, where they manage service and construction operations for the largest refrigeration and HVAC contractor in the United States. Greg oversees a team of over 163 field technicians and 3 direct reports across 3 branch locations, serving clients such as Walmart, Target, Kroger, Safeway, Seven-Eleven, Circle K, Century Link, Level 3, and various commercial buildings. Greg is responsible for preparing budgets, managing P&L statements, and making adjustments as needed. Prior to their current role, Greg worked as a Branch Manager at Artic Mechanical, Inc. from 2017 to 2018 and held a Sales & Engineering position at OPTI TEMP INC from 2016 to 2017. Greg also has extensive experience as a Regional Director at Source Refrigeration & HVAC from 1993 to 2013, where they managed service operations for 108 technicians and 5 direct reports across multiple branches.

Greg Thurston earned their Bachelor of Science in Business from Ferris State University between 1983 and 1987. During the same period, they also pursued an Associate in Applied Science in Refrigeration, Heating, and Air Conditioning from the same university. Greg focused on business administration, management, operations, as well as heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration engineering technology.
