Thomas Choate

Thomas Choate is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in cooperative housing and real estate development. Currently serving as a Cooperative Housing Specialist and Refinance Coordinator at the Cooperative Development Institute since June 2016, Thomas supports the board of directors for nine communities, representing approximately 850 homes. As the owner of Lighthouse Home RI since November 2018, Thomas has successfully developed a top-rated short-term property, receiving consistently strong guest reviews. Previous roles include Property Manager at Wideplank Properties, Real Estate Development Consultant at Attune Build LLC, and Founder and Director of Rising Commons, where Thomas built a community of 30 healthy homes. Thomas holds a Master’s Degree in City Planning from the University of Pennsylvania and has furthered education in various international programs.
