John Gilbertson, PE, MBA has a vast and varied work experience in the field of engineering. John started as a Coop Student at Mississippi Power in 1990 and later worked as a Design Engineer at Howard Industries. John then moved on to Tri-County Electric Membership Corporation as a System Engineer before joining Jackson EMC, where they held roles as Electronics Supervisor and Senior Engineer. Eventually, they transitioned to Cooperative Energy, where they served as a Substation Design Engineer, Substation & Communications Manager, and currently holds the position of Director of Substation Engineering. Their experience showcases a progression in responsibilities and leadership within the engineering field.
John Gilbertson, PE, MBA obtained their Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1994. In 2011, they completed a Certificate in the Executive Education Program at Louisiana State University. Finally, they earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Project Management from LSU Shreveport in 2021.
