Martin Blees

Martin Blees is a highly experienced professional in process and product development, currently serving as a Senior Process-Product Developer at CoorsTek, Inc. since June 2016, focusing on process and material research. Previously, Martin held roles as a Senior Development Engineer at Philips Lighting from May 2008 to May 2016, where responsibilities included developing thermal processes for ceramics and metal-ceramic assemblies. Prior to that, Martin was also a Senior Development Engineer and Senior Research Scientist at Philips Lighting from 1995 to 2008, specializing in high intensity ceramic discharge lamps and lithographic patterning of semiconductors. Martin began a career in research as a Research Scientist at Leiden Universiteit, gaining a PhD in Physical Chemistry as a result of studying dynamics in polymer colloidal systems. Education includes a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) from Leiden University, earned in 1991, following studies at Stedelijk Gymnasium Breda.
