Charles Mount has a long and varied career in the healthcare industry. Charles began their career in the U.S. Navy in 1965 as a Navy Corpsman to Navy CAPT, eventually rising to the rank of CAPT, NC, USN in the Navy Medical Department. In 1998, they became Commanding Officer-Executive Officer of the U.S. Naval School of Health Sciences San Diego. In 2000, they were Commanding Officer of the U.S. Naval School of Health Sciences Portsmouth. From 2007 to 2014, they were Senior Director of Healthcare Services at NOVACES, LLC, where they were responsible for military and civilian Lean Six Sigma healthcare services and Director of Leadership and Management professional development. Since 2014, they have been Vice President of Consulting/ Human Resources at COPE Health Solutions.
Charles Mount completed a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from the University of Washington in 1974, majoring in Cardiovascular Studies. Charles then went on to obtain a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree from the University of San Diego in 1980. In addition, they hold a certification as an ASQ-Lean Six Sigma CSSBB Master Training Specialist from the U.S. Navy.
