Thomas Thessen

Thomas Thessen has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Thomas has worked as the Chief Economist at Copenhagen Airports A/S since 2011, where they create a societal positioning platform for the company and provides traffic forecasts. Thomas has also served as an Adjunct Professor at Aalborg University since 2018, focusing on aviation, the green transition, and the relationship between business and research. Additionally, they are the Chairman of the Airport Traffic Think Tank (At3), an informal international think-tank club of airport representatives. Prior to these roles, Thomas has held positions at VisitDenmark, Copenhagen Business School, Statistics Denmark, and Best Western Hotels Denmark. Thomas has expertise in tourism economics, teaching, and international organizations.

Thomas Thessen completed their high school education in Social Sciences at Roskilde Gymnasium from 1983 to 1986. Thomas then pursued a Master's degree in Economy at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen, from 1989 to 2002.
