Don Jakins

Don Jakins serves as a Senior Director at Copenhagen Offshore Partners, driving commercial development for offshore wind projects with a focus on the UK market. With previous experience as Managing Partner at ASKAL Consultancy Group, Don provided strategic consulting and commercial advisory services for major infrastructure and offshore wind clients. Prior roles include Commercial Executive at Murray & Roberts Power & Energy, where full commercial responsibility was held across EPC projects in Africa, and Commercial Director at Group Five Buildings, overseeing large-scale construction projects. Don's experience also encompasses management roles in Intertoll Africa and STRABAG, where significant infrastructure developments were directed. Academically, Don holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Economics from the University of Cape Town, alongside a diploma in Surveying from Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
