Peter Lodahl

Managing Artistic Director & CEO at Copenhagen Phil

Peter Lodahl is the current Managing Artistic Director & CEO at Copenhagen Phil. Peter has also previously worked at Den Jyske Sangskole Herning, Copenhagen Phil, Bikubenfonden, Guangzhou Opera House, and Erhvervsministeriet.

Lodahl began their career as a musician, studying piano and violin. Peter later went on to study conducting at the Royal Danish Academy of Music. After graduation, they worked as a conductor and music director for various orchestras and opera houses in Denmark and China.

In 2014, Lodahl became the Artistic Director / Festival Director for the Copenhagen Opera Festival. In this role, they were responsible for programming and curating the festival's lineup of operas and other events. Peter held this position for five years before moving on to their current role at Copenhagen Phil.

Lodahl is highly respected in the classical music world, and has won numerous awards for their work. In 2019, they were awarded the prestigious Kronprinsparrets kulturpris -og stjernedryspris by the Danish royal family.

Peter Lodahl attended The Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus/Aalborg, where they earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musik.
