Alex Petre

Alex Petre has a diverse work experience, beginning with a role as a Ski Technician at Hickory and Tweed in 2007. In 2010, they became a Lifeguard at the Bailiwick Club, and was promoted to Head Lifeguard the following year. In 2012, they worked as a Project Engineer at DMR Construction Services and an IT Intern at Van Wagner. In 2013, they worked as a Desktop Support Specialist at Van Wagner Communications, LLC. In 2014, they were an IT System Analyst at Outfront Media. In 2016, they were an Information Security Analyst at HedgeServ. From 2017 to 2023, they worked as a Senior Cloud Systems Developer and Tech Lead at Cloudreach, and is currently a Senior Platform Engineer at Copia Automation.

Alex Petre obtained a B.S. in Engineering from Roger Williams University between 2007 and 2011. Alex has since obtained various certifications, including an EIT from NCEES in April 2011, a Certified Kubernetes Application Developer from The Linux Foundation in October 2021, a HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate from HashiCorp in September 2021, an AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2017, an Amazon Web Services Solutions Architect - Professional from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in May 2020, an MCSE: Cloud Platform & Infrastructure from Microsoft in October 2017, an MCSA Cloud Platform from Microsoft in September 2017, an AWS Certified Developer - Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) in August 2017, and a Google Cloud Certified Professional - Cloud Architect from Google Cloud Certified in December 2017.
