Cathy Kim

Cathy Kim is a seasoned professional in the energy sector, currently serving as the Director at Copia Power since August 2022, where the focus is on operational excellence in renewable power and development. Prior to this role, Cathy held the position of Senior Manager at Birch Infrastructure, PBLLC, overseeing infrastructure operations tied to renewable generation and hyperscale data center needs. Cathy's extensive experience at Portland General Electric includes roles as Senior Director of Power Operations, where responsibilities involved managing power and gas assets, and optimizing energy strategies for decarbonization, as well as positions in trading strategy and real-time operations. Previous roles at Puget Sound Energy, Powerex, and BC Hydro contributed to a robust background in trading, power scheduling, and team management. Cathy holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Industrial Relations Management from The University of British Columbia.
