Ja Shia

Ja Shia has a diverse work experience spanning over different roles and companies. In 2003, Ja worked as an Assistant Editor at National Geographic Television International, gaining experience in technical troubleshooting and post-production. In 2006, Ja transitioned to the role of Digital Production Manager at Bay Area Video Coalition, where they managed production teams and consulted with organizations on building Digital Asset Systems. In 2010, Ja joined Adobe Systems as an Adobe Media Mentor, providing training sessions on Adobe software and working directly with young people on their media projects. In 2016, Ja became a Web Developer at Revel Systems iPad POS and later advanced to the role of Senior Web Developer at Revel Systems in 2018. Since 2019, Ja has been working at Copper as a Senior Web Developer and was recently promoted to the position of Lead Web Developer. Additionally, between 2009 and the present, Ja founded and operated Shia Productions and Development, LLC, successfully providing web, video, and technical consulting services to clients. Ja Shia attended Duke Ellington School of the Arts from 1995 to 1999, where they obtained their High School Diploma in Theatre Arts. Afterwards, they enrolled at Yale University from 1999 to 2003, graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Film Studies.
