Katie Huang has extensive work experience in the field of engineering and management. Katie currently serves as the Senior Engineering Manager at Copper since April 2022, where they previously held the position of Engineering Manager from December 2020 to April 2022. Prior to joining Copper, Katie worked at Cerner Corporation for over a decade. Katie'sroles there included Engineering Manager from February 2017 to December 2020, Software Architect from August 2016 to February 2017, Senior Software Engineer from August 2014 to August 2016, and Software Engineer from January 2009 to August 2014. Katie also gained valuable experience as a Software Engineer Intern at Cerner Corporation from May 2008 to August 2008. Katie began their career as a Web Content and Design Intern at Radio Taiwan International (RTI) in 2007 and as an Internal Programming Intern at MBS in 2006. Throughout their career, Katie has demonstrated strong leadership skills, managing and mentoring teams of engineers, collaborating with various stakeholders, and contributing to the development of project requirements, technical designs, and estimates. Katie has expertise in technologies such as Java, JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and Ruby on Rails. Katie has also been recognized and participated in various leadership development programs. Katie Huang obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from the University of Missouri-Columbia, where they studied from 2004 to 2008. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained several certifications throughout the years. These include the Professional Scrum Master™ I (PSM I) certification from Scrum.org in November 2021, the Uncovering Unconscious Bias in Recruiting and Interviewing certification from LinkedIn in February 2021, the Asking for Feedback as an Employee certification from LinkedIn in January 2021, the GitLab Remote Work Foundations Certificate from GitLab Inc. in November 2020, and the Targeted Selection Interviewer certification from DDI | Development Dimensions International in February 2016.
