Kevin Madigan has a diverse range of work experience in the legal and policy field. Kevin is currently serving as the VP of Legal Policy and Copyright Counsel at the Copyright Alliance since February 2020. Prior to this, they were the Deputy Director at the Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property from September 2018 to February 2020. Kevin also held the role of Assistant Director, Research & Development at the same organization from July 2017 to August 2018. Kevin gained experience as a Legal Fellow at the Center for the Protection of Intellectual Property at George Mason University School of Law from January 2016 to July 2017. Additionally, Kevin has worked as a Research Associate at Finnegan, Henderson, Farabow, Garrett & Dunner, LLP and at Right Size Law PLLC. Kevin also served as a Law Clerk at Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP and as a Summer Associate at The Buckles Legal Group. Kevin started their career as an Intern at the Recording Industry Association of America and as a Judicial Intern at the Montgomery County Circuit Court.
Kevin Madigan completed their Bachelor's degree at Boston College from 2000 to 2004. Kevin then pursued a J.D degree at the University of Baltimore School of Law from 2009 to 2012. Finally, they obtained a Master of Laws (LLM) degree with a focus on Intellectual Property Law and Copyright Law from The George Washington University Law School from 2012 to 2014.
