Rebecca Reiner has been working in volunteer and community engagement coordination for over 10 years. Rebecca started their career at the Homeless Prenatal Program in 2007 as their Volunteer & Events Coordinator. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating volunteers for various events and programs, as well as logistics for client events and fundraisers. After a few years, they transitioned to the San Francisco Tenants Union where they served as their Volunteer Coordinator from 2010 to 2011. In this role, they were responsible for recruiting, screening, orienting, and placing volunteers.

In 2015, Rebecca took a position as the Volunteer Coordinator at NEXT Village San Francisco where they continued their work with coordinating volunteers. In 2016, they transitioned to their current role as the Community Engagement Coordinator at Congregation Emanu-El of San Francisco. In this role, they manage volunteer led social justice and community engagement programs. Rebecca also acts as an assistant to Rabbi Ryan Bauer.

Rebecca Reiner has a Bachelor's Degree in Community Studies from the University of California, Santa Cruz and a certification from the American Red Cross in Partner Agency Shelter Operations. Rebecca also has a Bachelor's in Community Studies from Lowell High School.
