Tom McCarthy

Tom McCarthy is a seasoned sales professional with extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry. At Corcept Therapeutics since July 2017, Tom serves as a Clinical Sales Specialist for Rare Disease, contributing to the launch of Korlym and earning the distinction of 2021 President Club Circle Winner. Previous roles include Territory Business Manager at Valeritas, where Tom was recognized with multiple awards including the 2015 Pinnacle Sales Award and the 2014 Crystal Sales Award. Tom’s foundation in sales was established at Amylin Pharmaceuticals, with a focus on diabetes products and notable achievements such as the National Sales Award and a promotion to Principal Sales Specialist. Early career experience includes sales roles at GlaxoSmithKline and TAP Pharmaceuticals, as well as an admissions advisor position at Baker College, where Tom maintained a 90% admission rate. Tom began a career in education as a teacher at Bishop Dwenger High School, instructing in philosophy and theology. Tom holds a BBA in Finance from Saginaw Valley State University - College of Business and Management.
