Heleen van der Beek is the Cluster Director East -, and Southern Africa at Cordaid. Heleen has worked in Bangladesh as the Country Representative for ICCO-Cooperation and as a Policy Officer for WMD-affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Netherlands. Heleen has also served as the Deputy Head of Mission / Embassy of the Netherlands in August 2009 to July 2014.

Heleen van der Beek has a Masters in Development Studies from the University of Ghent in Belgium. Heleen also has a Graduate / Licentiaat / doctorandus in French and Russian from Erasmus Hogeschool Brussel. Additionally, they have a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Languages (French and Russian) from Erasmus Hogeschool in Brussels. For their secondary education, they attended vissert hooft. For primary education, they attended Ireneschool. Heleen is also certified from Hans Posthumus Consulting in Monitoring and Evaluation for Programme managers / DCED standard and Markets for the Poor training.
