J.J. Mason-Anselmi

J.J. Mason-Anselmi has been working in the writing and communications field since 2011. J.J. began their career as an Adjunct English Instructor at CSU Fresno, Saint Paul College, UC Irvine, and Cal Poly Pomona. In 2019, they took on the role of Writer & Communications Specialist at Chapman University and Online English Instructor at Eastern Gateway Community College. In 2020, they began working as a Learning Experience Designer II at UKG (Ultimate Kronos Group). Since 2015, they have also been working as a Freelance Writer-Editor-Critic, with their writing featured in VICE, The New Republic, The A.V. Club, Kerrang!, Salon, and other popular venues. Most recently, in 2022, they began working as a Technical Content Writer at Cordial, where they are responsible for keeping the Knowledge Base up to date and overhauling the documentation to make it more user-friendly.

J.J. Mason-Anselmi has an extensive educational background. In 2019, they obtained a Certificate in Instructional Design Technology from California State University, Fullerton. From 2011 to 2014, they earned a Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from California State University, Fresno. In 2006-2010, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English, Creative Writing, and Technical Writing from the University of Colorado Denver. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from institutions such as HubSpot and LinkedIn, including Content Marketing Certification, Adobe Captivate Essential Training, Instructional Design: Needs Analysis, Instructional Design: Adult Learners, Email Marketing Certification, and Inbound Marketing Certification.
