David Black, Ph.D. has an extensive work experience in various roles related to mental health and wellness support for first responders and government leaders. David currently serves as the President of Wellness Solutions at Lexipol and is a Member of the Board of Directors. David also previously served as the President of Cordico before it was acquired by Lexipol. Additionally, they have held roles such as Founder and CEO of Cordico, Chief Psychologist, and Advisory Board Member at various organizations including the National Sheriffs' Association, Police Foundation, National Fraternal Order of Police, California State Firefighters' Association, and International Association of Chiefs of Police. Prior to these positions, Dr. Black worked as a Psychologist at APS and also owned their own consulting firm, David Black Consulting. David is recognized as an Official Member of the Newsweek Expert Forum.
David Black, Ph.D., obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology, Cum Laude, and Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy, Cum Laude, from the University of Washington in 1995. David continued their education at the University of Georgia, where they earned a Master of Science degree in Clinical Psychology in 1997, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology in 2000.
