David Reading

David Reading has held various roles in the mining industry since 1994. David began their career as General Manager of Exploration at Randgold Resources Ltd, where they were responsible for managing exploration and feasibility work in eight African countries. During this time, they led an exploration team that discovered 15 million ounces of gold resources, including the Morila, Yalea (Loulo) and Tongon deposits. The Morila and Loulo projects both completed successful feasibility studies, which translated to gold mines.

In 2004, David was appointed CEO of European Goldfields Ltd, where they increased the company value from C$140 million to C$1.2 billion. From 2010-2011, they held the role of Non Executive Director at African Aura, and was also an Independent Consultant at D Reading Consulting.

In 2011, David became CEO of Aureus Mining Inc., where they listed AUE on the TSX (primary exchange) and Aim, and raised over US$120 million in equity funding and US$100 million in debt funding. David also completed PFS and DFS studies on one million ounce, high grade open pit project.

Since 2013, David has been a Non Executive Director at Cordoba Minerals Corp., where they are Chairman of the HSE committee and a member of the technical committee. David has also been a Consulting Geologist since 2016, performing high level geology and feasibility consulting work for various mining and exploration companies in North and South America, Europe and Africa.

David Reading obtained a Master of Science degree in Economic Geology from the University of Waterloo between 1980 and 1982.
