Stephen Phillips

Stephen Phillips has a diverse work experience in the technology field. Stephen is currently working as the Network Manager/Sr. IT Engineer at Cordova Telephone Cooperative since January 2019. Before that, they served as the Chief Executive Officer at Cordova Computers starting from June 2010. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Network Security Administrator at Alaska Communications from December 2010 to January 2019. Stephen'sprevious role was at West Corporation as a Unix Systems Administrator from January 2008 to June 2010 where they supported a large global server infrastructure. Stephen also worked as a Field Support Technician at Omaha Public Schools from August 2006 to January 2008, providing technical support to staff members. Stephen's first job in the technology field was as an Internet Technical Support Representative II at Cox Communications from May 2004 to August 2006, where they responded to customer requests in a Technical Support call center environment.

Stephen Phillips earned a Bachelor of Computer Science (BS) degree in Computer and Information Systems Security/Information Assurance from ITT Technical Institute-Omaha. Stephen also obtained a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) degree in DC Electronics from the same institution. Prior to that, they completed an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications at ITT Technical Institute-Omaha.

In addition to their formal education, Stephen Phillips holds several certifications. Stephen obtained the SARTECH I certification from the National Association For Search And Rescue in October 2016. Stephen also received the Server + certification from CompTIA in March 2011, the JNCIA-JunOS certification from Juniper Networks in May 2016, and the CPR Pro, First Aid, AED certification from the American Heart Association | American Stroke Association in March 2016.
