Kate Fuentes

Kate Fuentes serves as the General Counsel and Senior Vice President of SunAmerica Asset Management, as well as Deputy General Counsel of Corebridge Financial since September 2022, where leadership includes managing the Mutual Fund Legal team and the Retirement Services securities team. Prior experience includes serving as Chief Legal Officer for Mutual Funds and Deputy General Counsel for AIG Life & Retirement from July 2006 to September 2022, overseeing legal and regulatory responsibilities for over 100 mutual funds with approximately $90 billion in assets under management. Additional roles include Trustee for FAMILYConnections, Inc. from June 2013 to March 2020, and Associate at Paul Hastings from 1998 to 2006, specializing in investment management and mutual fund compliance. Academic credentials include an MBA in Asset Management from Yale School of Management, participation in a FinTech program at the University of Oxford's Saïd Business School, and a Juris Doctor from Seton Hall University School of Law.
