Justin Brolley

Principal Research Scientist at CoreLogic

Justin Brolley has extensive experience as a research scientist in the field of hurricane and natural disaster modeling. Justin worked at EQECAT, Inc. from July 2007 to December 2013, where they were a Senior Research Scientist. During their time there, they were responsible for updating EQECAT's North Atlantic Hurricane Model and ensuring compliance with the Florida Commission on Hurricane Loss Projection Methodology (FCHLPM) Standards. Justin also supervised colleagues and created detailed meteorological information for specific hurricanes, such as Hurricane Sandy in 2012. Additionally, Justin worked at CoreLogic from December 2013 onwards as a Principal Research Scientist. In this role, they continued to update hurricane models and provide loss estimates for current hurricanes in the United States mainland. Justin also participated in meetings related to flood standards and contributed to the development of the United States Severe Convective Model.

Justin Brolley holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology from Florida State University, which they obtained between 2003 and 2007. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Atmospheric Sciences and Meteorology at Penn State University from 1999 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, they have obtained certifications in Collaboration Principles and Process and Digital Body Language from LinkedIn in 2021.
