Leonard is a Partner and Chief Operating Officer of Corient. As COO, he is responsible for overseeing the firm’s operations, technology, trading, legal, compliance and real estate teams. He also leads transformation teams that build, and power the innovative operating platform that differentiates Corient’s client solutions and service. Prior to Corient, Leonard was a Managing Director at Citadel, a leading hedge fund where he held a variety of senior leadership roles including Chief Operating Officer of Global Equities. Prior to Citadel, he worked at McKinsey & Company and was a successful entrepreneur early in his career. Leonard serves on the Board of Directors of Baptist Health Foundation. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was captain of the tennis team, and his MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
