Phil der

Phil Der has over 20 years of experience in tax and finance roles. Phil most recently served as the Vice President, Tax and Special Projects at CORIX Group of Companies, where they advised senior leadership and collaborated on strategic planning and mergers and acquisitions. Prior to that, they were the Director of Tax at CORIX Group of Companies, leading the tax department and aligning the business units. Phil also worked at Ernst & Young as a Senior Tax Manager, at the British Columbia Ministry of Finance as a Project Manager, and at PricewaterhouseCoopers Limited as a Tax Manager. Phil has also been involved in educational roles, including being an In-depth Tax Tutorial Leader at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and an Audit Instructor at BCIT.

Phil Der has a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Accounting and Economics from Simon Fraser University in 1998. In the same year, they also obtained the CPA designation from the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Later, in 2004, they completed the In-depth Tax Part I, II, and III program at the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. From 2014 to 2017, Phil pursued a Master of Science in Taxation with a focus on US Taxation at Golden Gate University.
