HPC Network Architect

Cornelis Networks is hiring an accomplished High-Performance Computing (HPC) network architect with deep experience leading the design, implementation, and delivery of high-performance network infrastructures. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping and optimizing our company's future product direction, ensuring it meets the demanding requirements of our customers’ most compute-intensive workloads. The ideal candidate must be proficient in networking standards and middleware technologies, with demonstrated success driving feature innovation and performance optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead network architecture design for the company’s future generations of products, with emphasis on feature innovation and system performance tailored to the needs of our customers’ most compute-intensive workloads
• Evaluate and select technology standards and partnerships to drive company market leadership
• Direct research and development activities to seamlessly integrate and optimize Message Passing Interface (MPI) and Shared Memory (SHMEM) middleware solutions to ensure optimized communication across parallel computing environments
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement strategies to tune and optimize network performance and enhance overall system efficiency
• Track and drive compliance with relevant ecosystem network, protocol, and security standards

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline, or the equivalent in training and experience
• Minimum 7 years’ experience working as an HPC Network Architect or in a similar role
• Minimum 7 years’ experience with high-performance network technologies, including switches and HCAs
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in HPC middleware, specifically MPI and SHMEM
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in performance tuning and optimization in HPC environments

Preferred Qualifications

• Industry certifications in HPC or related fields

• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams

• Familiarity with emerging trends in HPC, such as accelerators and hybrid computing

• Experience with job scheduling systems in HPC environments

• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python) for automation and optimization

Location

For this position, Cornelis Networks fully supports remote employees who live within the United States and are able to travel to our corporate offices in Wayne, PA periodically for in-person collaboration.
