Facility Security Director at Cornerstone Defense

Michelle Allen is the current Facility Security Director at Cornerstone Defense. Prior to that, they were the Regional Contract & Compliance Specialist at Presence Health from September 2013 to January 2015. In that role, they were responsible for ensuring that all contract programs and services were provided in compliance with corporate and legal standards. Michelle also provided analytical and reporting support to meet contractual compliance requirements associated with provision of services and deliverables, quality measures, and other performance metrics. Michelle researched and maintained knowledge of all regulatory requirements in order to suggest updated or replacement language to the Regional President & CEO, VP's, and Corporate Legal Counsel. Michelle also maintained, updated, and made revisions to the contract database. Michelle developed and maintained a systematic process for tracking contract issues and notifications, particularly as it related to compliance (Joint Commission). Michelle prepared draft contracts and extensions for a variety of services including Professional Services Agreements and Educational Affiliation Agreements.

Before their work at Presence Health, Michelle was the Lead Director/CDBG & HOME Program Manager at Will County Community Development-Land Use Department from January 2000 to September 2013. In that role, they were responsible for administering federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME funds for housing rehabilitation activities, new construction of single-family homes, infrastructure improvements, commercial facade renovations, and other community development projects. Michelle also oversaw the development review process for residential and commercial development projects. Michelle managed a team of planners who reviewed development plans for compliance with local ordinances, zoning regulations

Michelle Allen most recently graduated with their Bachelor’s Degree in Pre Law from DePaul University. Prior to that, they completed their Associate of Arts in Business Administration and Management from Joliet Junior College. Michelle also has a certification in Paralegal Studies from the American Institute for Paralegal Studies as well as a Lead Risk Assessor License from the Illinois Department of Public Health.

Their manager is Christopher Goodrich, Chief Executive Officer & President. Michelle Allen works with Brian Sammons - Chief Financial Officer, Darcelle Wilson - Vice President, Human Resources, and Steve Niezgoda - COO.
