Marilene B.

Marilene B. has a diverse background in healthcare and accounting. Marilene started their career as a Senior Accountant at the University of Miami from 2005 to 2009. Marilene then transitioned to the healthcare industry, working as a Neonatal Intensive Care Registered Nurse at Rio Grande Regional Hospital in 2016. Marilene then moved to McAllen Heart Hospital and worked as a Progressive Cardiac Care Registered Nurse from 2013 to 2018.

Marilene later joined Doctors Hospital at Renaissance Health System, where they held the positions of Quality Coordinator from 2017 to 2018 and Director of Quality & Transformational Initiatives in 2018. In 2019, Marilene became the Director of Quality Management at Solara Specialty Hospitals at Mcallen, where they had various responsibilities such as leading re-accreditation surveys and establishing performance improvement initiatives.

Marilene continued their career in quality management, serving as the Director of Quality Management at PAM Health Specialty Hospital from 2022 to 2023. Currently, they are the Director of Quality Assurance at Cornerstone Regional Hospital since 2023.

Marilene B. completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Philosophy & Political Science from the University of the Philippines in 1996. In 2000, they pursued a Research Study at Kyushu University. In 2005, Marilene obtained a Certificate in Healthcare Management from the University of Miami. Marilene then attended South Texas College, where they earned an Associate's degree in Nursing starting in 2013. Marilene later completed a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing at The University of Texas at Arlington in 2019. Currently, they are pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in Healthcare Administration at Texas A&M University-Corpus Christi, which is estimated to be completed in 2023. Marilene also holds several certifications, including Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support Experienced Provider (ACLS), Basic Life Support for Healthcare and Public Safety (BLS), Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), Healthcare Accreditation Certified Professional, and Registered Nurse.
