Since 2004, Paula has served as the Director of Quality and Medicine Services at Cornwall Community Hospital, where responsibilities include enhancing patient experiences and resource efficiency while fostering collaboration among healthcare teams. Previously, Paula held multiple leadership roles in patient access and flow, developing strategies for organizations facing high occupancy levels. With a background as a Patient Care Coordinator in emergency and critical care settings at Hotel Dieu Hospital, Paula also contributed as a Subject Matter Expert for the Critical Care Secretariat of the Ministry of Health and Long Term Care from 2010 to 2013. Cornwall Community Hospital (CCH) provides a full range of acute inpatient, outpatient and community mental health services to their catchment area of 110,000 people from the communities of Cornwall, the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry and to the Mohawk Community of Akwesasne. With 165 beds, more than 1200 employees and 180 physicians, CCH offers a wide range of care and services. These include emergency, surgical, medicine and rehabilitation services, mental health and addiction programs as well as a family birthing centre.
