Joanna Zhou

Joanna Zhou has extensive work experience in the engineering field. Joanna started their career at BG&E in 2008 as a Structural Engineer, where they were involved in the design of reinforced and post-tensioned slabs, stability analysis, and steel design. Joanna also gained construction phase experience through site inspections and providing alternate details or construction methodologies. After working at BG&E for five years, Joanna joined Northrop Consulting Engineers in 2014 as a Structural Engineer. In 2015, they moved back to BG&E as a Senior Structural Engineer and later became the Principal - Structures until 2020. Joanna then worked as an Engineering Design Manager at Meriton Group from 2020 to 2022. Currently, Joanna holds the position of Head of Engineering at Coronation Property, starting in July 2022.

Joanna Zhou obtained a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from Hebei Agricultural University in 2006. Joanna then pursued a Master's degree in Structural Engineering from UNSW in 2007-2008. In 2017, they obtained the MIEAust, CPEng, NER certifications from Engineers Australia.
