Evelyn Akana

Evelyn Akana has a diverse range of work experience. Evelyn started their career as an Operations Officer at Valmon Securities Limited in 2004. Evelyn then worked as a Marketing/Relationship Officer at Treasury & Financial Inst Group from 2007 to 2008, where they were responsible for income generation and ensuring proper pricing of liabilities. From 2009 to 2011, Evelyn worked as a Marketing/Relationship Officer at the UNITED BANK FOR AFRICA PLC, focusing on identifying potential business deals and evaluating market strategies.

Evelyn then joined UBA Group as a Treasury Sales Officer/Relationship Manager-Team Lead from 2012 to 2015, where they were responsible for developing and marketing various money market and treasury products. From 2015 to 2016, Evelyn worked as a Relationship Manager - Team Lead at Unity Bank Plc, focusing on new business development and building relationships with new clients.

Between 2016 and 2017, Evelyn served as a Fund Manager at Roda Integrated Services Ltd, overseeing the liquidity of the business and seeking viable investment avenues. Currently, they are working at Coronation Merchant Bank as the Head of Treasury Sales/Financial Institutions, where they manage relationships with treasury customers and drives increased sales across product classes.

Evelyn Akana holds a Master of Science degree in Finance from the University of Lagos, which they obtained in 2009. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Industrial Relations and Personnel Management from the same university, graduating in 2002.
