Arjun Asrani

An expert on International Affairs and Business Diplomacy Arjun Asrani, is an experienced consultant who has served with distinction in various roles in the Indian Foreign Service. A former Indian Ambassador to Japan, Thailand and Libya and Consul General in New York, he has held senior positions in the Ministries of External Affairs and Finance in his 35 year career in the Indian Foreign Service. A Commerce graduate from Sydenham College, Bombay University, he has completed the Indian Foreign Service Course from Oxford University and done a stint at the National Defence College, New Delhi. He has diplomas in Japanese and French languages from Indian Institutions and Alliance Francaise.

Building trust and credibility are the hallmarks of a leader and Arjun’s diverse experiences have ensured this steadfast focus. A highly respected and much sought after speaker at various national and international forums on diplomacy, he was conferred with the Grand Cordon of the Order of the Rising Sun by His Majesty, the Emperor of Japan. He is the Managing Trustee of IndusInd Foundation and is a faculty of the Foreign Service Institute, Member of the India-Japan Joint Study Group, Member, Advisory Committee on Oil Diplomacy, Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas as well as member of Delhi Golf Club, Delhi Gymkhana Club, India International Centre and Association of Indian Diplomats.
