John Kennedy

John Kennedy is an accomplished technology executive with extensive experience in leadership roles across various organizations. Currently serving as CISO and Vice President of Engineering at Corporate Finance Institute® since March 2021, John has also held the position of Chief Technology Officer at Macabacus Inc. and PropelCare, Inc. from 2019 to present and 2016 to 2019, respectively. Additionally, John co-owned Kennedy Consulting during the same timeframe, specializing in mobile application development. Prior to these roles, John was the Chief Technology Officer at Tutors with Computers, LLC, and Read and Succeed, LLC, as well as the Director of Payment Processing at Overstock.com, where a successful co-branded credit card program was implemented. John has a notable background in project and program management and served in the US Navy, ensuring the safety and operation of a submarine and its nuclear power plant. Educationally, John holds a Master’s degree in Engineering Management from Old Dominion University and a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Notre Dame.
