Marketing and Social Media Internship

As we continue to grow and expand our reach, we are seeking a passionate and creative Marketing and Social Media Intern to join our team. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the exciting world of marketing and social media within a transportation/logistics context.

Location: Jacksonville, Florida

Duration: January - April (flexible start and end date)

Job Type: Internship/part-time. 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation (35%):

  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop visually appealing and compelling content, including photography, graphics, videos, and written materials.
  • Brainstorm and contribute to the creation of blog posts, articles, and other marketing collateral.

Social Media Management (30%):

  • Assist in creating, scheduling, and managing engaging content across various social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.).
  • Monitor and respond to audience engagement and feedback.
  • Stay updated on social media trends and propose creative ideas to enhance our online presence.

Public Relations and Charity (15%):

  • Support the development and execution of public relations initiatives to enhance the company's image and reputation.
  • Collaborate with external partners, influencers, and media outlets to increase brand visibility.
  • Contribute to the planning and coordination of charitable and community engagement activities.

Research and Analysis (10%):

  • Conduct market research to identify trends, competitors, and opportunities.

  • Assist in analyzing data to measure the success of social media and marketing strategies.

Collaboration (10%):

  • Work closely with the marketing team to ensure cohesive and effective communication strategies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic understanding of social media platforms and trends.
  • Creative mindset with a keen eye for design and aesthetics.
  • Familiarity with marketing tools and platforms is a plus.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
  • An interest in corporate social responsibility and community engagement.
  • Preferred: Currently enrolled in a relevant undergraduate program (Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field).
