Jared Smith

Jared Smith has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles. Their most recent position was at Corporate Visions, where they started in January 2019 as a Reporting Analyst and eventually worked their way up to the role of Manager, Research and Thought Leadership in April 2021. Prior to that, they worked as the Field Director for Young Kim for Congress from August 2018 to December 2018.

In 2017, Jared had a role as a Senate Fellow at the California State Senate from October 2017 to September 2018. Before that, they worked at USAID as a Junior Legislative Affairs Specialist from August 2016 to May 2017. Jared also served as the Youth for Johnson/Weld State Chair for the Johnson/Weld 2016 campaign from July 2016 to November 2016.

In addition, Jared has experience in grassroots coordination, which they gained during their time as the Grassroots Coordinator for Steve Fazio for State Senate from April 2016 to August 2016. Jared also worked at SAGE Publications as a Legal & Contracts Assistant from January 2016 to August 2016, where they were responsible for document and contract review, updating databases, filing copyright registrations, cataloging books with the U.S. Library of Congress, and drafting correspondence.

Jared's earlier roles include an internship with Congressman Ed Royce at the U.S. House of Representatives from May 2015 to August 2016 and a research position at the Hudson Institute as a researcher for the Center for Political-Military Analysis from October 2015 to March 2016. Additionally, they briefly served as the Regional Political Director for Golden State Environmental in July 2015.

Prior to that, they pursued a Graduate Certificate in Applied Policy and Government at California State University-Sacramento from 2017 to 2018. Jared also holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science and Government from California Lutheran University, which they earned between 2013 and 2017. Furthermore, they have obtained a certification in Data Science and Machine Learning from Practicum by Yandex in December 2020.
