Anna Tovar

Anna Tovar is a distinguished public servant and Realtor with extensive experience in leadership roles across Arizona. Elected as the first Latina Corporation Commissioner for the Arizona Corporation Commission in 2020, Anna has demonstrated a commitment to public service and community advocacy. Previously, Anna served as the first female Mayor of the City of Tolleson, where efforts focused on quality education and employment opportunities for citizens. Anna's background includes significant roles as a Senate Senator and House Representative, advocating for Arizona families, and serving as Campaign Director for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Anna’s early career began as a kindergarten and first-grade teacher, recognized as Teacher of the Year in 2000. Anna holds a B.A. in Elementary Education from Arizona State University.
