Laurel Remington

Laurel Remington has a diverse work experience in the legal field. Laurel is currently working as Senior Legal Counsel at Corre Energy since May 2022. Prior to this, they worked as Head of Legal (Contract) at Element Power from February 2017 to January 2022, where they were responsible for providing legal support for various businesses in Europe.

Laurel also has experience as Deputy General Counsel at RES (Renewable Energy Systems Ltd) from December 2004 to January 2016, where they managed a team of solicitors and handled legal aspects of project financings and agreements.

Before joining RES, they worked as a Contract Legal Counsel for various clients, including EDF and Renewable Energy Systems Limited, from March 2003 to December 2004.

Laurel'searlier roles include working as an In-house Solicitor at Dynegy UK Ltd from March 2001 to January 2002, where they worked on gas storage contracts and power trading contracts, and as an Associate at Clifford Chance from January 2000 to March 2001, where they worked on leveraged finance transactions and debt restructures.

Laurel began their legal career as an Associate at O'Melveny & Myers LLP from January 1997 to January 2000, specializing in environmental law and working on divestiture and permitting matters for various clients.

Additionally, Laurel has experience as a self-employed Author since January 2014, with multiple award-winning middle-grade books to their name.

Laurel Remington received a Bachelor's Degree in Business Economics and Music from UCLA in 1993. Afterward, they attended the University of Pennsylvania Carey Law School, where they obtained a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree between 1993 and 1996. Laurel also holds additional certifications, including being a Professional Solicitor obtained from The Law Society in October 2019, and being a member of the California Bar Association (inactive status), although the specific month and year of obtaining this membership is unknown.
