Aaron Smith has an extensive work experience in various roles related to product development, management, and technical support in the audio and gaming industries. Aaron is currently serving as the Sr. Director of Audio Product Development and Management at Corsair since September 2020. Prior to that, Aaron was the Co-Founder and Head of Product at LucidSound from March 2014 to August 2020. During their time at LucidSound, they were responsible for overseeing engineering, new product design, technical support, and warranty service. Aaron collaborated with technical colleagues, Original Design Manufacturers (ODMs), and factories to deliver innovative audio products, and ensured the best user experience through product design and usability guidance.
Before LucidSound, Aaron worked as a Product Manager at Mad Catz / Tritton from June 2010 to March 2014. Aaron developed the first-ever co-branded headset line and the first truly wireless headset for the Xbox 360. Aaron also developed, documented, and communicated 18-month roadmaps for consumer electronics in the PC and gaming peripheral market. Aaron translated consumer needs into design briefs and other necessary documents to facilitate the product development process.
Prior to Mad Catz / Tritton, Aaron served as a Product Manager / Developer at TRITTON Technologies Inc. from October 2008 to June 2010. Aaron was responsible for developing and managing gaming headsets and USB to video products, including Microsoft Multipoint Server.
Aaron has also worked as a Freelance Journalist, contributing editor for Die Cast X Magazine, and a Screenwriter for various companies. In addition, they have experience as a Systems Administrator at ACM Aviation, a Technical Editor at Diamond Star Creative Group, and an Apple Service Center Technician at UC Davis, where they provided warranty repair for Apple systems along with Dell Certified PC and HP Printer Certified warranty repair.
