Hamed Karkan

Hamed Karkan is a seasoned engineer with extensive experience in biomedical and medical engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Development Engineer at CorTec GmbH since May 2018, Hamed has previously held positions as a Project Manager at Vascomed GmbH/Biotronik from July 2012 to May 2018, and as a Development Engineer at the Fraunhofer Institute IPT between 2009 and 2011. Additional experience includes roles as an Application Engineer at Arman Saba Teb/Sirona representative from 2004 to 2006 and as a Technical Support Engineer at Besat Hospital from 2002 to 2004. Hamed Karkan earned a Master’s Degree in Biomedical/Medical Engineering from Aachen University of Applied Science (2007-2010) and a Bachelor’s Degree in the same field from Azad University (1998-2002).
