Ashish Tamhane

Ashish Tamhane has a varied work experience, beginning in 2004 when they were a Graduate Research Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at the Illinois Institute of Technology. Ashish then moved on to the University of Chicago in 2009, where they worked as a Post Doctoral Researcher. In 2011, they joined AllTech Medical Systems as an Associate Imaging Scientist, where they developed software products, improved image reconstruction software, and resolved customer issues. In 2015, they took on the role of Research Engineer at Rush University Medical Center, where they contributed to the development of imaging biomarkers using machine learning and implemented deep learning-based image segmentation software for the human brain. Finally, in 2022, they became a Senior Imaging Scientist at Cortechs.ai.

Ashish Tamhane completed their PhD in Biomedical Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology in 2009. Ashish had previously obtained their M.S. in Electrical Engineering from the same institute in 2004. Ashish also holds a B.Engg in Computer Science from the Government College of Engineering, Amravati.
