Herman Uscategui has over 30 years of experience in global strategic partnerships, strategic alliances, and international development. In 2018, they joined Cortex Automation as SVP - Strategic Partnerships, where they are responsible for Global Strategic partnerships for Cortex Automation, an AI/Machine Learning proprietary platform that optimizes Marketing Channels. From 1999 to 2018, they worked for Starbucks Coffee Company as Director, Global Strategy | Futurecasting | Strategic Alliances, where they drove growth and opened new markets in key countries. From 1995 to 1999, they worked for Westin Hotels & Resorts as Director, Worldwide Projects, where they managed and led the transition and provided oversight and direction to global expansion initiatives. From 1988 to 1995, they worked for Aoki Corporation as Director, Technical Services & Systems, where they were the first non-Japanese employee in its history and was responsible for segueing Aoki into the United States.

Herman Uscategui has an extensive educational background. Herman is currently a PhD Scholar at The University of Tokyo in the field of Engineering. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Science in Economics from Temple University in Tokyo, Japan. Herman also has a Master in Engineering from Saitama University in Tokyo, Japan. Additionally, Herman Uscategui holds two certificates from the University of Washington in Project Management and Management Strategies and Skills.
