Cortex is the internal developer portal that cuts noise for developers with paved paths to production. Companies like Adobe, Dropbox, and TripAdvisor use Cortex to catalog, score, and assign action to improve service quality and velocity, so devs can get back to work that drives the business forward.

We鈥檙e fully remote and welcome candidates from anywhere in the US! We have all-company offsites a few times a year where we fly the whole team out to meet in person, build stronger relationships, kick off important projects, and have fun!

馃捈 Job Summary

We are seeking a Principal Product Manager to join our team. As our Principal PM you will be responsible for executing product initiatives, creating specifications and owning pieces of the product. You will work directly with our founders and engineering team to shape the vision strategy and roadmap of our developer portal.

馃捇 Responsibilities

  • Become a subject matter expert on our product, from features to functionality
  • Partner with our co-founders to execute on product direction
  • Conduct market research, competitive analysis, and gather customer feedback to inform future product decisions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prioritize and scope product features and enhancements
  • Define and track key product metrics and use data-driven insights to drive product decisions and optimizations

鉁旓笍Qualifications聽

  • Bachelor鈥檚 degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years as a Product Manager, ideally in a startup environment or developer-focused company
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and a willingness to take ownership and drive initiatives forward
  • Strong understanding of developer tools, APIs, and developer ecosystem
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach to decision-making
  • Superb written and verbal communication, with the ability to effectively articulate and convey complex concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders

Our job titles may span more than one career level. The base pay for this role starts between $185,000 and $250,000. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs and market demands. The base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role is eligible for equity and benefits.
