Magnus Berg Sletfjerding

Magnus Berg Sletfjerding has a diverse range of work experience. Magnus Berg started their career at Corti as a Data Engineer in 2022. In this role, they worked on projects such as developing a Python-SQL-gRPC Machine Learning Model serving framework and implementing a data warehousing system for serving application data to customers. Magnus Berg also led a Data Engineering & Data Science Guild for internal knowledge sharing.

Prior to their role at Corti, Magnus worked as a Junior Machine Learning Engineer at the same company from 2021 to 2023. Here, they focused on improving the dataset upload pipeline and deploying machine learning models for real-time NLP tasks using TensorFlow. Magnus Berg also maintained a custom machine-learning deployment microservice for live ASR technology.

Before joining Corti, Magnus served as a Machine Learning Intern at Corti from 2020 to 2021. In this position, they worked on various projects including developing and deploying machine-learning models for real-time ASR tasks, building and testing REST-APIs for interacting with databases, and automating cloud deployments of Dockerized microservices.

Magnus also has experience outside the field of technology. Magnus Berg worked as a Leader of Copenhagen Student Branch and Student Ambassador for Tekna, The Norwegian Society of Graduate Technical and Scientific Professionals from 2019 to 2021. In addition, Magnus served as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Copenhagen from 2019 to 2021, where they instructed students in theoretical and practical exercises and graded reports. Magnus Berg was also a PHD Student at the university during this time.

Furthermore, Magnus worked as a Student Assistant at MAN Energy Solutions from 2019 to 2020, where they used statistical analysis to analyze microscopy data. Magnus Berg also served as a Representative for the Nanoscience course of study at Copenhagen University for the Association of Norwegian Students Abroad from 2015 to 2018.

In addition to their professional experience, Magnus has shown leadership skills as the President of the National Committee of EYP Denmark for the European Youth Parliament from 2016 to 2018. Magnus Berg was responsible for managing the organization, maintaining communication with international offices, and overseeing events and finances.

Lastly, Magnus gained experience as a Summer Intern in the Purchasing department at BioMar in 2016, where they handled document control and archiving, ensured compliance with contract terms, and updated databases with analysis and shipment data. Magnus Berg also served as a Regional Board Member for the European Youth Parliament from 2014 to 2015.

Magnus Berg Sletfjerding began their education in 2013 at Trondheim Cathedral School, where they completed the International Baccalaureate - Bilingual Diploma program from 2013 to 2015. Magnus Berg then pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Nanoscience at Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen from 2015 to 2018. Following this, Magnus went on to further their studies at the University of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2018, specializing in Nanoscience and Technology for a year. Magnus Berg returned to Københavns Universitet - University of Copenhagen in the same year and completed their Master of Science (MS) degree in Nanotechnology from 2018 to 2022.
