Ben O'Hara-Byrne

Ben O'Hara-Byrne is a seasoned journalist and media professional with extensive experience in broadcasting and stakeholder engagement. Currently serving as Host and Senior Producer for "Weekends with Ben O’Hara-Byrne" at Corus Entertainment, Ben previously held positions including Senior Manager of External Stakeholder Engagement at BCI and contributing columnist at Star Metro Vancouver. Notably, Ben anchored and produced newscasts as well as served as a digital editor at CHEK News. Earlier roles included London Bureau Chief and Asia Bureau Chief at CTV News, where Ben managed operations and reported from various international locations. Ben's career began at Global News, establishing the first Beijing bureau and covering significant political events. Ben holds a Bachelor's degree in Political Science and Government from McGill University, a Graduate Degree in Broadcast Journalism from Concordia University, and completed a digital journalism bootcamp at Goldsmiths, University of London.
