Gerry Belec

Gerry Belec has a extensive work experience in the media and technology industry. Gerry started their career in 1985 at BCTV as a Technical Director, working on computer graphics. Gerry then worked at Pinnacle Systems as a Broadcast Product Specialist from 1996 to 2003. After that, they joined Acura Technology Group as a Western Regional Sales Manager from 2003 to 2006. Gerry then moved on to Global News / ShawMedia, where they held various roles including Director of Technology and Design from 2006 to 2014, and Director of News Technology and Production from 2014 to 2015. Currently, they are Director of News Technology and Operations at Corus Entertainment, Global News, a position they have held since 2016.

Gerry Belec obtained a Diploma in Radio and Television Arts from NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) in 1980.
