Reza Saiphoo

Reza Saiphoo has a diverse work experience in the media and broadcasting industry. Reza began their career at Corus Entertainment in 1989, where they held roles such as Technical Producer and Supervising Audio Engineer. At Corus Entertainment, they were responsible for audio production for live and post-production television broadcasts.

In 2001, Saiphoo became the Senior Manager of Production Services at Corus Entertainment. In this role, they oversaw multiple departments and partnered with the senior management team to successfully restructure the Television Broadcast Division. Reza also analyzed and administered technical equipment purchase contracts and workflows.

Saiphoo then worked at Bell Media as the Director of Operations from 2008 to 2012. Reza managed a portfolio of engagements and projects supporting client service delivery and business development, leading a team of 70 across various departments.

In 2012, Saiphoo joined Dome Productions as the Senior Manager of Engineering. Reza managed a team of 26 staff and freelance technical engineering and maintenance personnel. Reza established strategic direction and implemented a structured recruiting and training program.

Saiphoo also worked at Shaw Communications as a Project Manager from 2015 to 2016. Reza then returned to Corus Entertainment in 2016 as the Director of News Technology. In 2020, they were promoted to the role of National Director, Broadcast Infrastructure and Support.

Additionally, Saiphoo has experience as a Principal Consultant at Clarity Technical Consulting, where they partnered with clients to create and implement disaster response and business continuity plans.

Reza Saiphoo has a background in project management from Ryerson University in 2008-2009. Before that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Audio Engineering from Trebas Institute of Recording Arts in 1984-1986. Reza also holds an Associate's Degree in Business Administration from Seneca Polytechnic, which they obtained in 1979-1981. Reza has also obtained a certification in Successful Negotiation: Essential Strategies and Skills from Coursera Verified Certificates in 2015.
