Sara Chan

Sara Chan has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Sara started their career as a Visual Clearances Coordinator at Insight Production Company in 2007. Sara then became a Co-Director at Artists' Legal Advice Services from 2007 to 2009. Sara also completed a Summer Internship at the Centre for Innovation Law and Policy in 2008. Sara was a Summer Student at Borden Ladner Gervais LLP in the same year. Sara continued their legal career as an Articling Student at both Borden Ladner Gervais LLP and The Coca-Cola Company in 2009. In 2010, they joined Corus Entertainment as a Director, Legal Counsel and later became a Director, Assistant General Counsel. Sara held the position of Head of Legal Operations & Rights Management, Associate General Counsel from 2019 to 2022. Most recently, Sara has been an Associate General Counsel, Head of Technology, Legal Operations & Rights Management at Corus Entertainment. In addition, they serve as a Board Member at Women in Film & Television-Toronto and has been a Columnist for Precedent Magazine. Sara was also the Secretary of the Board of Directors at The Images Festival.

Sara Chan has a JD degree from the University of Toronto, a B.A.C.S. degree from Western University, and an MA degree in Communication and Culture from York University.
