Gaute Markeset

Gaute Markeset is a service engineer currently employed at Corvus Energy, specializing in electric ferries and ships since March 2024. Prior to this role, Markeset worked as a Field Service Engineer at Siemens Energy, focusing on battery replacements for ferries and land stations. Markeset also devoted three years to educational leave from PTG - Perfect Temperature Group to study Automation with Robotics, during which time initiated a service department in Bergen and contributed to the modernization of the freezer facility at the Frølageret (Seed Vault) on Svalbard. Previous experience includes a service refrigeration technician role at Carrier Commercial Refrigeration, where sustainability initiatives were a key focus, as well as apprentice positions at MMC First Process AS and Vest-Kjøl AS. Markeset holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Robotics, and Automation Technology from Western Norway University of Applied Sciences and a Fagbrev in HVAC and refrigeration.
